Clara’s passion for design began at an early age with a fascination for beautiful objects and the way they influence how we feel. Alongside her love of interiors, she was equally drawn to psychology, with a desire to better understand the human mind. While studying interior design in London, Clara discovered a mentor who combined psychology with design, bringing together her two greatest interests and shaping the philosophy that continues to guide her work today.
She went on to refine her skills with leading studios including Harriet Anstruther Studio, Studio RUUF, Ennismore, and MBDS, gaining experience across residential, hospitality, and bespoke interior design. During the pandemic, Clara established her own design practice, inspired by a nomadic lifestyle and the belief that thoughtfully chosen objects can create a sense of belonging wherever life takes you.
Now based in Bali and Spain, Clara has expanded her practice to include Classical Feng Shui, becoming a certified consultant dedicated to creating spaces that are both beautiful and energetically balanced. Her approach combines timeless design principles with the foundations of Qi, Yin and Yang, the Five Elements, and Classical Feng Shui, helping clients create environments that support wellbeing, harmony, and intentional living.
As a tutor at The Interior Design Institute, Clara brings together practical industry experience with a holistic perspective on design. She is passionate about helping students understand how interior design extends beyond aesthetics, demonstrating how thoughtful spatial planning and energetic principles can work together to create spaces that truly support the people who inhabit them.
